Email Account Manager

Our client is a fast-growing, award-winning, remote-first eCommerce performance marketing agency working with more than 40 Irish and international brands. They specialise in scaling eCommerce businesses through paid social, paid search, email and retention marketing, marketplaces and creative, with performance, accountability and commercial impact at the core of everything they do. As they continue to grow their retention and customer lifecycle department, they are looking for an Email Account Manager to manage and develop email performance across a portfolio of ambitious eCommerce clients.

The Role:

As an Email Account Manager, you will take ownership of email marketing strategy, execution, performance and client relationships across a portfolio of eCommerce brands. Email marketing is currently the primary service their clients engage them for. Strong email strategy, email design and campaign creation skills are therefore essential for this position. You will be responsible for developing email strategies, creating and launching campaigns, building automated flows and identifying opportunities to improve customer retention, revenue and lifetime value. Alongside email, you will help them continue expanding into the wider LTV and CRM space, including SMS, customer segmentation, personalisation, loyalty programmes and broader lifecycle marketing strategies. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who can combine strategic thinking, creative execution and strong account management.

What You Will Do:

Own Email Marketing Strategy and Performance

• Manage a portfolio of eCommerce client accounts, primarily through Klaviyo
• Develop email marketing strategies aligned with each client's commercial objectives, promotional calendar and wider marketing activity
• Plan, create and launch email campaigns from initial concept through to final execution
• Build and optimise automated lifecycle flows, including welcome, abandoned browse, abandoned cart, post-purchase, replenishment, cross-sell and win-back journeys
• Continuously test and improve campaign messaging, design, structure, cadence, segmentation and personalisation
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to increase retention, revenue and customer lifetime value

Create High-Quality Email Campaigns

• Translate client objectives and campaign ideas into effective email concepts
• Design and build visually strong, conversion-focused email campaigns
• Adapt email design, messaging and tone of voice to suit different brands and audiences
• Work independently on email creation while collaborating with the wider creative team when additional support is required
• Maintain a consistently high standard across copy, design, links, tracking and campaign setup

Develop Wider Retention and CRM Strategies

• Help clients move beyond standalone email campaigns towards a connected customer lifecycle strategy
• Identify opportunities across SMS marketing, loyalty programmes, segmentation, customer data, personalisation and behavioural automation
• Build retention roadmaps and structured testing plans based on client priorities and performance opportunities
• Support the continued development of the wider CRM and customer retention offering
• Stay informed about emerging retention platforms, AI tools, automation capabilities and evolving CRM best practices

Manage Client Relationships

• Act as the primary email marketing contact for your client portfolio
• Lead client calls covering strategy, performance, campaign planning and upcoming priorities
• Present results, insights and recommendations in a clear and commercially meaningful way
• Build trusted relationships by understanding each client's business, customers, products and growth objectives
• Proactively identify account risks, performance gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain clear, responsive and professional communication across all client accounts

Collaborate Across Departments

• Work closely with Paid Media teams to align email activity with acquisition campaigns, product launches and promotional periods
• Collaborate with Creative teams on campaign concepts, asset requirements and brand execution
• Coordinate with wider account teams to ensure email strategies support the overall client relationship and commercial objectives
• Share customer, product and performance insights that can improve activity across other marketing channels

Maintain High Standards

• Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Ensure campaigns, automations and client deliverables are completed accurately and on time
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal processes, templates, documentation and workflows
• Share learnings, performance insights and best practices with the wider team
• Take ownership of your work, client outcomes and professional development

What They Are Looking For:

Essential

• Previous experience in an email marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing or retention-focused role
• Strong practical experience developing email marketing strategies and campaign plans
• The ability to design, create and build email campaigns independently
• Experience creating and optimising automated email flows and customer journeys
• Working knowledge of Klaviyo or strong experience using a similar email service platform
• A clear understanding of email marketing performance metrics, including attributed revenue, conversion, engagement and deliverability fundamentals
• Experience using segmentation, personalisation and behavioural triggers to improve performance
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to adapt copy and tone of voice across different brands
• Confidence managing client relationships and presenting strategies, results and recommendations
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• A proactive and commercially focused approach to performance and optimisation

Desirable

• Experience working with eCommerce brands in an agency environment
• Experience developing or managing SMS marketing strategies
• Familiarity with loyalty programmes and customer retention platforms
• Knowledge of customer data, lifecycle segmentation and CRM strategy
• Experience collaborating with paid media, creative or wider growth teams
• An interest in AI, automation and emerging retention technologies
• Experience working with brands across multiple markets or territories

Who This Role Will Suit:

This is a mid-level position suited to someone who already has a strong foundation in email marketing and is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, strategy and performance. You may currently be working as an Email Marketing Specialist, Email Marketing Executive, CRM Executive, Lifecycle Marketing Executive or Junior Email Account Manager and be looking for a role with greater strategic and client-facing responsibility. You should enjoy balancing hands-on campaign creation with client management, performance analysis and longer-term strategic planning.
